Papara is a licenced electronic money institution under the law numbered 6493 on Payment and Securities Settlement Systems, Payment Services and Electronic Money Institutions. Papara's operations are supervised by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey.
Papara users' funds are guaranteed and held in accounts in the Central Bank of Republic of Turkey.
In accordance with the law, Papara cannot use and generate a profit using users' funds.
Discreet Mode is designed to hide sensitive financial information like account balance and transaction amounts from curious strangers in crowded public places. When the Discreet Mode feature is on, your balance and transaction amounts are automatically masked.
You can turn on Discreet Mode from the shortcuts by swiping right from the Home Page Accounts pane, and you can turn it off in the same way whenever you want.
You can find the Privacy Settings under the Settings menu. Here's what you can do with these settings:
- By disabling Name Visibility you can mask your name and surname during transactions.
- By disabling Contacts Visibility you can prevent other users from seeing you as a Papara user in their contacts.
- Through the Split and Money Requests setting, you can reject all split requests and money requests from other users.
- In the Block Users section, you can block any Papara user. Blocked users won’t be able to send you money, or send you split or money requests.
