We designed our policies to protect your confidentiality and the security of your information, including your name, phone number, email address, birth date, identification details and card details.

We safeguard your Papara experience by verifying your personal details to avoid any potential fraudulent operations. You can review our Privacy Policy to learn more.

We never call or email you to ask for your name, email address, phone number or password. We never ask that you type or dial a number on your phone, or ask for your SMS code that's used for logging in.

Ignore anyone who claims to be calling from Papara, our official support number is 0850 340 0 340, and never share your personal information with these people.

If you believe a suspicious person is contacting you, restrain from sharing personal or account information, and notify us about it. Lastly, do not trust anyone who pose as a police, judge, public prosecutor or any other civil servant.

You can find the Privacy Settings under the Settings menu. Here's what you can do with these settings:

• By disabling Name Visibility you can mask your name and surname during transactions.
• By disabling Contacts Visibility you can prevent other users from seeing you as a Papara user in their contacts.
• Through the Split and Money Requests setting, you can reject all split requests and money requests from other users.
• In the Block Users section, you can block any Papara user. Blocked users won’t be able to send you money, or send you split or money requests.

As an electronic money institution, Papara is obligated to keep personal data for ten years for the execution of auditing or regulatory duties and for disciplinary investigation or prosecution by public institutions for the prevention of crime or for a criminal investigation in accordance with the Personal Data Protection and Processing Policy.

Please note that Papara will not store your data any longer than the necessary time period specified by the law.

If you reached Papara with a written request and your request is rejected, you fail to receive a response after 20 days, or you find the resolution inadequate; in the 60 days following our response, you have the right to apply to TÖDEB’s Customer Complaints Arbitration Panel, according to The Association of Payment and Electronic Money Institutions of Turkey (“TÖDEB”)’s Regulation on Operation Principles and Procedures of Customer Complaints Arbitration Panel.

We store your personal data using secure data centres, that are protected by firewalls and have restricted access in compliance with applicable regulations.

All data passed between Papara and third parties are SSL-encrypted.

Discreet Mode is designed to hide sensitive financial information like account balance and transaction amounts from curious strangers in crowded public places. When the Discreet Mode feature is on, your balance and transaction amounts are automatically masked.

You can turn on Discreet Mode from the shortcuts by swiping right from the Home Page Accounts pane, and you can turn it off in the same way whenever you want.

If you don’t want to receive money requests or split requests, you can disable the Split and Money Requests setting under Settings > Privacy Settings. When you do so, money requests and split requests will be automatically rejected.
